Employment at ECP
ECP, PA's practice continues to grow - creating frequent opportunities for new staff. Opportunities open as new facilities elect to receive service from us. ECP will also work with Physicians living in, or relocating to, other North Carolina communities to establish satellite practices. These practices share call, administrative support, clinical policies, and procedures. This can significantly lower the barrier to establishing a new Long Term Care and Retirement Community based practice.
The Work Environment
90% of the Practice's services are delivered to older adults living in Nursing Facilities or Retirement Centers. Scope of service is focused on primary care and care-management of older adults in institutional or retirement settings. Occasional visits are made to patient's private homes. Nearly all staff work from their own home. Each Staff member manages their own schedule, consistent with patient need and regulatory requirements. The practitioner must provide their own transportation. The Practice maintains an office in downtown Asheville for staff meetings and administrative services. Administrative staff manages contracts, regulatory compliance, billing & collections, most transcription services, maintaining the EMR, and communication systems.
Time Commitment
Postitions are available both full and part time. All current staff choose and manage their own schedules (consistent with work available). Present staff have chosen to work a variety of schedules (2.5 days @ 20 hours, up to 6 days @ 50+ hours).
Compensation and Earning Potential
All staff are paid monthly for services during the proceeding month. Family Nurse Practitioners are paid on an hourly or salaried basis. They are eligible for a monthly performance bonus. Nurse Practitioner base pay is competitive with community averages. Physicians are compensated based on production. All staff are paid an additional daily fee each day they are the designated staff member on-call. Staff also receive additional compensation for attending the Practice's administrative or clinical meetings. Each staff member arranges their own benefits (health insurance, retirement, et.), and purchases their individual Professional Liability Insurance.
